Virgo

Original painting on a 16x20 canvas. This painting is from my Zodiac series, where I reimagined each zodiac sign as a unique skull-and-bones composition inspired by its symbolism and element. Every sign features its own distinct skeletal form set against a background representing its elemental nature.

As an earth sign, Virgo is surrounded by a lush, vibrant forest. Because Virgo is symbolized by the Virgin, I chose to represent it with a winged rib cage-- a symbol of purity, grace, and quiet strength. The wings reflect Virgo's gentle, nurturing spirit, while the exposed bones serve as a reminder that beneath our outward  identities lies the essence that connects us all.
