This painting represents the unbearable weight of suffering that is carried quietly beneath the surface. The gray face, frozen in a look of agony, reflects the exhaustion of living through unimaginable pain and countless traumas that have been buried away just to keep moving forward. The blinded eyes symbolize feeling trapped within your own suffering--unable to escape the memories, emotions, and wounds that continue to linger. 

The darkness surrounding the figure represents the isolation of carrying pain that other cannot see. The red and black erupting from the open mouth embody years of suppressed emotions finally reaching a breaking point--the anger, grief, fear, and suffering that have been swallowed down again and again until they can no longer be contained.

This painting captures the moment when silence becomes impossible. It is the desperate need to release everything that has been held inside, to finally let the pain out, and to free yourself from the weight of what has been consuming you.
