This piece was a part of my book page series, and was created in reflection on the uneven nature of growth. Growth is rarely linear—it bends, stalls, and sometimes aches in ways that feel unfamiliar, even unnatural. This piece speaks to the harder side of healing: the moments that aren’t beautiful or graceful, but necessary. The discomfort, the stretching, the quiet breaking before something new can form. It stands as a reminder that becoming a better version of yourself is not a gentle process—it’s a layered, imperfect unfolding.
